  Word of the Month

“Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.” Deut 6:4  God wanted to indelibly stamp this profound truth in the hearts of his people as Israel went into a culture filled with many gods. The Lord knows how vulnerable human nature is and how easy it is for people to buy into new ideas and ways of thinking. Few people have an unchangeable belief force. There has never been a day that we, the church, Christ’s followers need conviction that Jesus is Lord, more then today. There are a million voices out there and grievous compromise in the church. I beg you; don’t buy into anything but Bible truth. He said, “I am the Lord, I change not.” This fact is the basis and reference point of our faith.

“What does the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways and to love him and to serve Him with all thy soul. For the Lord thy God is God of gods and Lord of lords, a great and a mighty God.” Deut 10:12 & 17

“I am the Lord and that is my name.” Isa 42:8

“The Lord shall be King over all the earth.” Zech 14:9

“Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Phil 2:11

“This is why He rose from the dead, that He might be Lord over the dead and the living.” Rom. 14:9

Wow, this takes a burden off our shoulders. We don’t have to be in control of everything. He is Lord! David said, “The Lord is my shepherd.” Ps 23:1 Receive him and make Him personal as David did.

The Lord He is God; it is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Ps 100:3

I could go on but you get the picture. Invite Him to become Lord of your life and issues.
